Ban Bor Thor in the North of Krabi province is home to the historical sites of Lod Cave and Pee Hua Toh Cave. Kayaking is unquestionably the most practical way to explore these sea caves. At Lod Cave, you can sail form one side of the limestone pinnacle through a tunnel to the other side. The tunnel gives you splendid sightings of stalactites and stalagmites. Pee Hua Toh Cave, the cave comes from the Carboniferous to Permian period, 230 - 340 million years ago. There are prehistoric paintings in the cave and also stalactites, stalagmites, tubular stones and skulls - the largest of which the cave owes its name to. Pee Hua Toh actually means "big headed ghost".

Khao Sok National Park is located just a 2 hrs. drive from Ao Nang, Krabi. It is a part of the largest area of rainforest in Southern Thailand. An area of outstanding natural beauty, with spectacular limestone mountains, cliffs, caves, rivers, and waterfalls. Much of the forest is still intact and home to a huge variety of tropical birds, animals, insects, reptiles and plant life. The nature and ecology of the area has yet to be fully studied but is truly amazing in the variety of plants and animals that exist here. The world largest flower "Raffel Asia," which grows to nearly one meter in diameter can be found in the park at certain times of year as well as many other distinct and rare species of plants.
